Excellent vid Dan - wish there was more of it! Tony Banks (Genesis) spoke as well...quick little archival shot of a young Wakeman playing...there should be a DVD out there of this! Cool

Glad you liked the vid. Looking forward to it myself, but can't be torn away from the present audio!

Here's a bit of Mellotron striptease~!

Here's a "Memotron." It's described as a "digital remake" of the mellotron. Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater is really into the Memotron.

Currently playing track:
Paatos - Absinth Minded

This sounds great, and it'a all news to me.

I'll be hitting the sack shortly with hope of rejoining the broadcast for an hour or so in the late morning before hitting the road...

Thanks a million, HM! Happy New Year to you--yours is about an hour and a half away by my reckoning!

You're welcome a million back - starting to fade a bit myself - but will last to the end allright - just for a taste of that Spanish Champagne!!
Be sure to tune in upon waking!  By the time I go to bed, the Europeans will be waking - will read their comments when I wake up.

Thanks for listening - whenever I do these I discover a bunch of new music myself!! Hopefully there will be a re-run in the near future.

Cheers,

-d Smiley

Hi--I'm back for a few--just in time for a Jan Hammer track!--and one more photo!

I hope others are enjoying this marathon as much as I've been!

Some folks must have been away for the Holiday...hope they get to hear it!!!

But of course can I ask my question....is there any clue for the music you will be playing Mr. Jazz  Sage? Roll Eyes
Cool

GrinOf course you may...!
My answer is any and all music that features the
Mellotron
...the big names in Prog
(Genesis, King Crimson, Rick Wakeman, Tangerine Dream, The Moody Blues)
, but also some lesser names you may enjoy
(Latte e Miele, PFM, Spring, Beggar's Opera, Embryo, Ange)
Cool Cool
