My answer is any and all music that features the Mellotron...the big names in Prog (Genesis, King Crimson, Rick Wakeman, Tangerine Dream, The Moody Blues), but also some lesser names you may enjoy (Latte e Miele, PFM, Spring, Beggar's Opera, Embryo, Ange) 8-) 8-)

There's a version of the later part of that piece, the piano-dominated part, with Gabriel-esque vocals added, it's credited to "Clearlight" and it's the last track on the 1st disc of the 006 KALEVALA project. Don't know exactly how the contemporary Clearlight relates to the old.

God, I wish I'd kept my vinyl!!!!

Here's the 2002 Mellotron book by Frank Samagaio. It might be somewhat out of date as they've started making Mellotrons again since then, and software Trons have been coming out like the one you posted. I think you've already linked us to the new Mellotron book, the one by Nick Awde.

MEANWHILE, here's a link to a BBC4 Mellotron video. I haven't checked it out yet, but my friend says it features Peter Sinfield, Bill Bruford, and Rick Wakeman!
