Conversation With Rick Wakeman - this Friday the 13th of November @ 9:00pm (GMT)

All,

I was very privileged to spend some time with Rick Wakeman last Saturday afternoon.

Topics of conversation included overdosing on Jersey tomatoes, being refused entry to establishments in the 70s due to having long hair, his forthcoming plans musically and perfomance wise and his views on the current Yes line-up and tour.

Along with the interview, I will be playing selected tracks from Rick's extensive career.

As always, this session will be re-played in it's entirety during the course of the following week. Once the final broadcast has been aired, I will put the interview on the website for free download.

I spoke with Rick for about forty minutes. I'm still compiling the music that will be played but I would imagine it will run for a couple of hours in total (including the music).

I find it hard to align my timing with your specials, so podcasting them is a great thing.
I grew up as a huge fan of RW, esp. TSWIHVIII, and JTTCOTE and his Yes days. Less of a fan now, but I still get a big burst of nostalgia when I hear those early albums.
He used to be very earthy in his early interviews. I wonder how he is these days? I'm about to find out!
