Derek Sherinian was in Dream Theater & has released a few CD's under the "Planet X" banner - also a few solo collaborations with many legendary musicians.

His latest release is "Blood of the Snake" - Fusion Progressive Metal at it's best I reckon ! It features Billy Idol, Slash, Zakk Wilde, Yngwie Malmsteem & many others.
