OK, this is a real stretch....

In honor of the passing of the Crocidile Hunter....

Any chance you have Australia by Steve Howe..  If you do have it on Beginnings, then you must follow it with Doors of Sleep, of course!

I wish I could oblige, really. Undecided

I have 'Beginnings' on vinyl and have been meaning to either rip-it to mp3 or get around to buying a copy of the album on CD. So apologies, not today.

However, in honour of Steve 'Crocodile Hunter' Irwin, I'm going to play the track 'Leader' from early-seventies Australian Prog group Buffalo. Cool

Enjoy.

that will be a fine second choice... sure beats Men at Work with "Land Down Under"!

Beside, I am sure they have a better vocal than Steve. As a vocalist, Steve is a world-class guitar player!  LOL

Just caught the last two minutes of Ritual from Cobo Hall in 1976 last night (10pm Chicago).  Can you play it again today within the next three hours?

Hey, Thanks for the mention!

Hi Dee:

As you might remember I have had a bugger trying to get the station at work - Windows Media seems the only way to go here - I've tried all the proxy settings and nothing seemed to work until today.  I feel kind of dumb that I never tried the dial-up  button on the Startup page. It worked!
Well the sound isn't....well..stellar - but anything is an improvement!

All that to say this - I'm going to have to make up some ground with requests  Wink

You are probably not up at this hour - but if you are - Do you have any Family you could play - or if not, how about The Barbarian by ELP?

If you can't get to it tonight - perhaps in the morning (4:00 - 5:00 in the evening for you)

I'll be listening the next hour or two.

Thanx  Cool

Don;

You may want to try www.jetaudio.com . Huh

They have a free player  Grin which I use at work  Wink, quite successfully I might add,  Smiley behind a firewall  Smiley, with no tweaking to the standard settings  Smiley.  I connect to the high bandwith stream quickly  Smiley, with no buffering really at all during my listening time  Smiley, and listen for many hours straight through without any interruption  Smiley.  The player is very small, easy user interface, and requires little memory to operate.  Basically, it gets the job done and is not a pig about it at all, and plays basically all audio, and video formats.

Highly recommended.  Smiley

Quite stellar indeed!

Thanks Steven - unfortunately the player is the problem - The company will not allow me to load any software to my PC - so I'm forced to use what they've got - namely Windows Media 10 - It's alright, just have to skip back & forth to website to find out what's playing Undecided

I've got Winamp at home - so no problem there (just finding the time Wink

Thx again,

-d

Thought of a better request - Do you have The Modern Alchemist by Blodwyn Pig (from Ahead Rings Out)?

Thx - Don  Cool

You do a STELLAR job, even without the requests.. but if your bored and looking for something different --  maybe a hour or so "live set" from the 70's                     ( Yes, Genesis, ELP. ELO, Floyd, etc.).

Something about the live versions that really make each one unique.  Cool

If you wanted to play this between,  oh, I don't know..  let's say now and the next 8 hours we could certainly rock the house as I jam you via the office music system.   Employee productivity has skyrocketed since I found this STELLAR site!   Wink

Don;

I understand.

Personally, I think Jet Audio is better than Winamp and much more user friendly.

If you get a chance give it a spin and let me know what you think.
