The Camel tracks were from the album 'Nude' and the IQ tracks were from 'The Seventh House' and 'Dark Matter' albums if I recall correctly.

Glad you enjoyed them.

And what about non-british language prog rock ?

There are some very good songs too .

For example in french  Wink : Ange, Harmonium, Monalisa.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to have a "non british prog rock session" one of these days ?

Roll Eyes

But it's already a great compil  !!!

Thank you very much again .

Good suggestion pno, however, there is always a decent selection of non-English language Prog on any given playlist. Artists that spring to mind include :-

  • Zao - French
  • Classroom - Belgium
  • Cos - Belgium
  • Amarok - Spanish
  • Quaterstorm - Czech
  • Maneige - French Canadian
  • Garybaldi - Italian
  • Magma - French
  • Zello - Swedish

These are bands that generally tend to sing in their own mother tounge as opposed to English.

Cheers for now.

…and don't forget, I did include a track by Sigur Ros in my session, who sing in their native Icelandic.

Cheers

- Témpano from Venezuela the composers of the famous LP:  "Åtabal-Yémal" (1979) (http://www.tempano.com/princ.html - http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=329)

- Alux Nahual from Guatemala, excellence group (http://www.aluxnahual.homestead.com/index.html) The web page is very bad and ugly but you can download some MP3 from the link "Música"

- Ñu from Spain a group, still active, with greats influences from Jethro Tull. (http://www.destierro.es.vg/ - http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=403)
