You play The Who and Led Zep.  Are they Prog?  Hmmmm?

If you're unsure of Queen, forget every time you've heard "Bohemian," "Under Pressure," and "Another One Bites the Dust," and listen to some of their other songs.

And I don't think The Pretty Things are Prog either.  So there.

The Who, whilst not being out-and-out 'Prog' throughout their career, do have some impressive Prog credentials. They wrote several Rock Operas which are most definitely very 'Proggy' - tracks from these are featured on S.A. along with material from their Psychedelic classic 'Sell Out'.

Led Zeppelin have a 'bad boy' image and are overtly blues-based in their style of playing - like The Who. Both of these attributes can alienate them from the world of Prog, however, I still feel their earlier material warrants playing here.

As far as Queen go, 'Fat Bottomed Girls (You Make The Loving World Go Around)' has to be an all time favourite of mine ... Wink

Pretty Things, apart from writing the first ever Rock Opera (don't let anyone tell you otherwise - they're wrong, full stop) their output up until around 1972 was most definitely very 'Proggy'. 'Parachute' being the prime example, as whilst not being a 'Rock Opera' per se., is a damn fine concept album. That and they were signed to EMI's Harvest label and several of their albums were produced by Norman Smith - of Pink Floyd production fame. He even co-wrote on a couple of tracks too.

Yadda yadda yadda, that's the best Queen song ever.  So play it.

Deep Purple do feature on S.A. from time-to-time. Mostly in the form of tracks from the re-mastered (and re-released) 'Fireball' album. I also have a number of tracks from the excellent 'Harvest Festival' CD box-set on the database and I used to have a copy of 'Burn' on vinyl years ago ...

Anyway, consider Deep Purple added to the (extensive !) 'CDs-to-buy' list.

Nice one Dee man. I have a badly beat up vinyl copy of burn too. Wont throw it out though.
