Hey people,

Had a couple of e-mails recently regarding 'Mansun'. The recent tracks currently on the playlist are by the English neo-prog band 'Mansun' and have NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with mental, devil-worshipping-type-nutcase - 'Marilyn Manson'.

Just thought I would clarify !!

Enjoy.

Mansun are a fantastic band. Progressive music with a sprinkling of pop (or is it the other way round). Their album 'Six' is an absolute gem!

…and he did!

Only listened to disc 1 so far out of 3. And it is superb. Much better than the "great by anyone elses standards but average for mansun" last album 'Little Kix'.

Marilyn Manson isn't a devil worhipping nutcase. He's extremely sane and laughing all the way to the bank..

bet she isn't too keen on the weirdo makeup and contact lenses tho'!!
(incidentally, it was Liberace (go on, look him up, he's easily as weird as our friend Marilyn) who coined the phrase about 'crying all the way to the Bank')

OK, how abut this piece of trivia? The phrase 'The whole nine yards' is from the first world war - the vickers machine gun had its bullets on a canvas belt which was (you guessed) 27 feet long..

Thanks ProgMaster  Cheesy for introducing me to Mansun. Being from the states, I had never heard of them before. This is true, actually, with some  of the bands you play on S.A.

Anyway, today I went to a large record chain here in the U.S looking for Mansun. They found the group in a computer database (don't know if it was for the chain, however) but the group did not have a presence in the store (as in CD or even a space on the racks for the group.). I then asked if they had the ProgAid single, All Around the World, and no joy. Esp. progaid, I can't believe it never came across this side of the water. The song is BRILLIANT!!!! That's another topic....

Again, thanks D for taking me up on my request and playing the song soon after I started with S.A the other week. Just that alone, your "fulfilling the request online with dialog, made my day! You know what I am talking about, yeh? Wink

Laters....
