All,
I have now finally finished upgrading the S.A. discussion forum to the very latest version -
YaBB 2.5 Anniversary Edition.

As always, this has involved a great deal of manual work by myself to achieve. All of the membership data and discussion threads are totally intact. I immediately re-installed the 2.5 AE versions of the '
Event Calendar' and '
Users Online Today' mods as they had both become a familiar additions to the forum. I've also added a handy '
Contact' feature and a user-friendly '
Donate' button - within the forum itself.
I'm obviously hoping that the latter mod is used by you all with some frequency.

Many thanks to
Jeff from
YaBB World for the '
Event Calendar' and '
Users Online Today' mods. Thanks also to
Derek Barnstorm ('Hacker God') for the '
Donate' and '
Contact' mods.
Lastly, I have also migrated the entire website and discussion forum to a brand spanking new dedicated server. As is always the case, with S.A.'s ongoing popularity and increase in use, the hardware needs to be able to cope with (and be ahead of) any overhead. Without going into the finite technicalities (although I'm more than happy to do so, if anybody is interested ...) - the new website server has far more processing power, bandwidth and storage space. You should all hopefully now notice even faster load times of web pages across the main site, the 'whats playing now' information and of course, when using the discussion forum.
Please bear in mind that the website server is totally independent from the two ShoutCast servers and the source, SAM server that sits with me at S.A. HQ. So, the music has broadcast without interruption throughout the past week or so whilst the updates and enhancements have taken place.
Donations would be greatly, greatly appreciated as it has cost a small fortune this past week.
Enjoy.
