Mystery and Hamadryad album launch at the Olympia

Montreal-based Mystery, featuring Benoit David, the current lead singer of Yes, along with Hamadryad, will both officially launch their latest releases with a double-bill show on Saturday, May 22 2010 at the Olympia de Montréal (1004 St-Catherine Street East, Montréal • 514-845-3524).

For Mystery, One Among the Living is their 5th studio album, and for Hamadryad, their 4th release is entitled Intrusion. These two québécois bands have been part of the prog rock scene for the past decade and both have a style that is very much their own.

Mystery's music has evolved over the years just like a fine wine. The various lineup changes have brought together all the parts that make of them one of the most respected symphonic prog rock bands. With their clever mix of art rock and classic rock, Hamadryad adds a touch of energetic motion, transporting the listeners into an exceptional musical adventure.

This show will also celebrate Mystery's return from their highly anticipated gig at RoSFest 2010 in Gettysburg, PA, and Hamadryad's upcoming European tour scheduled to begin in August 2010 where they will headline the prestigious Crescendo festival in France. Both bands will also promote the release of their new albums and will tour throughout Quebec in 2010.

Mystery et Hamadryad à l'Olympia

Les groupes québécois Mystery avec Benoît David, qui chante présentement avec le groupe Yes, et Hamadryad, lanceront leur tout dernier album lors d’un programme double qui sera présenté à l’Olympia de Montréal (1004, rue St-Catherine Est, Montréal • 514-845-3524) le samedi 22 mai 2010.

Pour Mystery, One Among the Living est leur cinquième album alors qu’Hamadryad lancera son quatrième album intitulé Intrusion. Ces deux groupes québécois sont sur la scène du rock progressif contemporaine depuis plus de 10 ans et ont développé un son propre à chacun.

La musique de Mystery a évolué au cours des dernières années à la manière d’un bon vin. Les remaniements à l’intérieur du groupe ont ajoutés successivement les pièces qui font de Mystery l'un des groupe les plus respectés. Judicieux mélange d’art rock et de rock classique, Hamadryad ajoute une touche de vision cinématique qui transporte l’auditeur dans une aventure musicale exceptionnelle.

Cet événement marquera également le retour de Mystery du festival RoSFest aux Etats-Unis et Hamadryad préparera sa tournée française prévue en août 2010 où ils seront la tête d’affiche du Festival Crescendo. Les deux groupes prévoient également faire la promotion de leur nouvel album et présenter des spectacles partout au Québec en 2010.
