Yes performances cancelled....
11th Feb, 2009 at 10:28am

As posted on Yesworld:

"February 9, 2009 - Houston Date Postponed
Tonight’s performance has been postponed due to a medical emergency. A rescheduled date will be announced soon. More details forthcoming."

February 10, 2009 - Dallas Date Postponed

Tonight’s performance has been postponed due to a medical emergency. More details forthcoming.

YesWorld aren't saying why yet, but Aural Moon said it was Chris and a blood clot. Anyone know anything more?
Could never stand his voice, but he was a great bassist and part of Yes, man!

That's too bad. I hope he's ok, especially with that new baby. He looked (quite) a bit out of shape when I saw them in November.
-It wouldn't be Yes without his voice, period, and his vox  on Fish Out of Water are great.

You know I love you.
I can't be without you.
When I'm alone, I still feel this way about you.
Everything's clear
Here is here
And everything is as it appears to be so

Here am I dreaming
I stand by myself
Look and it's easy to see, that,
I'm not the only one reaching for a new kind of wealth
Reaching with nothing to hide
And you by my side.

You know we love you
We can't be without you
When we're at home, we still feel this way about you
Everything's clear
Here is here
And everything is as it appears to be so,

Here we are dreaming
We stand by ourselves
Look and it's easy to see, that,
We're not the only ones reaching for a new kind of wealth
Reaching with nothing to hide
And you on our side.

Hurry back to our side, Chris! We'll be here!

All tour dates through the rest of this month have been cancelled (NOT postponed).  I don't know any further info, though.

"February 18, 2009 - In the Present Tour Cancelled

The “In The Present Tour,” featuring Yes’ Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Alan White, is cancelling the remaining scheduled shows.

Founding Yes member, Chris Squire, underwent surgery on his leg on February 11, 2009. The operation was successful and Chris is on his way to a full recovery. However, Chris has been advised by his physician that he needs a one month rest period, hence the reason for the cancellation of the rest of the tour dates.

As previous stated, Chris and the rest of the band wishes to apologize for any inconvenience that this might have caused to their fans and hopes to see them again soon."

Maybe a good time for Chris & Jon to spend some R & R together. Wink

According to Yes forum he is out of hospital and on the mend. Been told to take it easy for a month or so. Seems all the tour is cancelled and unfortunately can't be rescheduled to prior engagements Steve Howe Asia and Oliver Wakeman The Strawbs. However they reckon Yes should be back on the road sometime in the future.

Ollie
PS> Darren - cheers for the shout and all is well
