Possibly a strange request

Is it possible to show how long a track will last when showing the playlist on your main page?

I normally listen to the music on my internet radio (Acoustic Devices Net808) through my hifi and I have the playlist showing on my laptop. But I would like to see how long a track lasts since I may want to listen to the next track and know I have time to go and get a drink first (or not).

Not a big deal - but it would be nice (maybe)

thanks

Hi Alan,

I'm sure that a similar question has been asked before.

It depends what you're actually asking really. It's certainly possible to have the exact time of the 'coming up' next track displayed on the front page of the website and if this is a popular feature request, it's something that I can look into. Cool

The more trickier option would be to have some kind of 'countdown clock' to the time of the track coming up. That or manipulate the meta-data to have this displayed in the 'now playing' scrolling message in your chosen media player - this would be a relatively small nightmare to achieve ... Undecided

Let me know your thoughts and of course, if anybody else wants to chip-in, feel free. Smiley

I think that what I would REALLY like is for the current playing track to show the total time and the amount left to play. That way, if I don't like the track, I know how long to leave the room for (Smiley) and if I do like it, I know how much time I have left to enjoy it.

Does that make sense?

Kind of. Again, it depends whether you'd like a 'live countdown timer' or just a static figure showing what time the next track is going to be played. The latter being a lot easier to acheive ... Cool

Static is fine. I can work out the rest.

Thanks
