huntr, missed Stranger Than Fiction (was 6am over here!), but Mental Notes is my favourite of all the Split Enz albums. Phil Judd was a big influence in the band at that time. This album is full of Gormenghast and Mervyn Peake references (Spellbound, Titus, Stranger Than Fiction), which probably tip it firmly into whatever version of Prog that's called when they're influenced by that sort of stuff... Roll Eyes

I'm hoping this album will be appreciated by all Stellar fans out there.
The Enz were actually disappointed with the album, but I've always really enjoyed it, and loved hearing it again after such a long time (it was produced 33 years ago in 1975)
