Billl Bruford stars in BBC 'Prog Rock' series

All,

As brought to my attention by the wonderful, online edition of Prog Rock Magazine, Bill Bruford will feature in the first series of 'Prog Rock with Charles Hazlewood'.

"The four-part series sees orchestra conductor Hazlewood explore the progressive rock music of the 1970s. In the opening episode, he’ll focus on drums and percussion – kicking off by tracing prog's origins in the popular music of the 1950s and 1960s.

Guest Bruford discusses some of the technical details of his craft and draws parallels between rock and classical music.
"

More information about this BBC Radio 2 programme can be found on the Prog Rock Magazine website and the official BBC website.

I have listened to both episodes and would seriously recommend this. Bill Bruford was on excellent form and talked at length about his time with both Yes and King Crimson. The first episode focused on percussion and the second episode (which featured Tony Banks) was on keyboards.
