Knight Area - anyone listened to Hyperdrive yet?
9th Nov, 2014 at 8:26pm

Hello all,

I've just got Knight Areas new album Hyperdrive. The second track, the Lost World, has a riff on it whoch I am sure I have heard before, but I cannot place it and it's driving me mad.

I think it's a Camel tune but I don't know.

So,  has anyone got this yet? If not, I've uploaded the track (not the album) here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/76678532/01-02-%20The%20Lost%20World.mp3

Please can you have a listen and tell me if anything sounds familiar.

Cheers

Alan

I think it may be Alquin, but I'm not sure.

I KNOW I've heard it somewhere before.

No idea.

I even tried Shazam but that picked up Knight Areas version of the riff.

It's early Camel or similar.

I've been in touch with the band (via Facebook) and apparently they wrote it as a tribute to the Enid.

Hehe... thanks for the enjoyable story with a happy ending, Alan. I listened to the first track to which you linked, but it hadn't been familiar, and then that made more sense when you found that it's The Enid, which which I'm unfamiliar.
