Wow ! this has been quite a year for me & gigs !

Rush last night were, as you'd expect, just stunning !
Their stage presence, energy & musicianship just shine out !
Despite them playing in the acoustically challenged Hall 4 at the SECC - hanger would be a better description - they were just amazing.
The capacity crowd were positively buzzing !

There was no support band & Rush came on at 7.45 & finished up at about 11.00, with a single break after an hour .. cos they're a million years old !! (Geddy's words !!

Lets hope the next time they'll play the Hydro, which is a new venue specifically for concerts & should have great acoustics ! Seeing Peter Gabriel there in October !!

Here is the set list for the gig :
Set 1:

Force Ten

They sure are brilliant live !!

I've already got the special edition of Moving Pictures in 5.1 format, which is a great listen ... now 2112 is available in the same format .. gotta get me a copy of that too !!

Actually, talking about 5.1 audio, Steven Wilson has being remixing loads of the classics .. which I must put on my shopping list !!
ELP - ELP
ELP - Trilogy
ELP - Tarkus
King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King

I've just bought Hawkwind's Warrior on the Edge of Time ... but not had a chance to listen to it yet !!
