A healthy dose of Porcupine Tree, via Moonloop and The Sky Moves Sideways (what a great title).
For me PT, are possibly the most underrated band out there right now. This band can do it all, long songs, short songs, hard rock, ballads, concepts, eastern influence, bang your head RnR. You name it they have already done it and can do it again or will likely do it in the future.
A major find for me in the 1990s with The Sky Moves Sideways being my introduction to them, I have always been amazed by the lack of greater recognition which has eluded them.
This is a band, which is far greater than what passes for a great band now-a-days and certainly can be matched up against some of the essential core RnR bands from the 1970s.
Their influences are extensive and yet, they take these influences and morph them into something new and exciting and fresh, and very much the PT sound.
If there is justice in the world this band will gain the notoriety they deserve before long.
