Was a bit bummed when I missed the 1989 ABWH show after popping into the office at 7:30 (Chicago time).  But never a need to fear  -- got my Yes fix with Survival, Gates, CTTE (from Yessongs), now Heart of the Sunrise.

Sure, I have all of these on CD and can play them myself....but it is always more rewarding hearing them this way, knowing prog fans from over 20 countries are doing the same!

Thanks for another great workday soundtrack!     Cool

Jeff

Jeff, do like me, start at 6h30 lol!!

I've listen to the Yes concert this morning, what a great way to start a day!

And, you are right, it is great to know that people all around the world is listenning to the same songs that you are at the moment!

I am truly happy to be part of this community now!!!

Vive le prog rock!!!

Time zones, dude.. i think 7:30 Chicago is 6:30 Quebec time...  Must have been a great way to spend 2 1/2 blissful hours at work......

I actually have it on DVD as as well.. Jon is his little teepee and stuff before the show!

The Who - The Real Me.

Do not hear enough of The Who here and Mr. Entwistle is a beast on the bass, RIP.

I totally agree, John Entwistle is demon on the bass. Cool

The remastered release of 'Who's Next' will be with me shortly. Apart from being an excellent album, it also includes tracks from the aborted 'Lifehouse' project / album.

Clearly hearing more that just The Real me, so I sit here happy and corrected.  Thanks Dee.

I have a VHS video home of the band called The Best which featured Entwistle, Keith Emerson, Joe Walsh and others whose names I can not recall and Entwistle's playing is truly on fire.

Mogul Thrash - Going North Going West

Wow, what an insane song.

It is the second time in two days that I have heard this song here and it has blown me away each time.

Per GEPR;

After leaving Colosseum James Litherland (guitar) founded this shortlived band including John Wetton on bass, and four other guys (3 horns/saxes and drums). They published only this LP on RCA. The music is similar to Colosseum but less bluesy and more brass, long pieces with strong guitar improvisations. This is really a strong album, especially for those who don't mind having more than one sax in a band.

Dee;

ELP - The Great Gates of Kiev (live).

ELP are possibly my favorite prog rock band and there is no denying that Greg Lake had one of the great prog rock voices of all time.

Let us hear some Nice to go with this ELP.

Play it Keith and Carl and Greg and may we all be a lucky man and see you reunite in the near future.
