This is the best radio station on the net! Goddamn it is fun, when your working to listen to pink floyd, genesis and yes!!! Thx guys, and keep up the good job. And, a another really interesting thing on this radio, it is the recording of live shows. It is fantastic!
You speak the truth! The soundtrack to our workday in the States! Quebec, eh? Hope you are old enough to have witnessed the Yes show in 1979. I saw them in Chicago that year, but I do have the Quebec show on CD.. BEST live version on Heart of the Sunrise ever! In fact, I am surprised that was not the one they included on the The Word is Live box set, although the Oakland cut is pretty damn good too!
WEll, if you go to my profile , you will see that I wasn't born on 1979.... lol
Yep, i'm 20 years old... You will probably ask why do I know all those old prog groups ? The answer is really simple. My dad listen (and still does) to old vinyls (now CD's...) like genesis, pink floyd, emerson lake and palmer, yes, gentle giant etc., when I was a toadler. So, probably that music had great influence on my music taste. And there I am now, listenning to S.A. on the job.
No doubt that the live performance of YES must be the greatest jabyes. I've heard on S.A. a one track concert of Yes (or Howes, Anderson etc. etc easier to say Yes) and it was great (I wish to ear it again sometime). Must be a fantastic experience to see that legendary group live, they are great musicians. One day I tried to learn The Clap on the guitar. Wasn't long I was listenning to the CD in amazement instead of playing it. I was a newb a playing guitar, and let say I didnt choose gthe best song for beginners!! lol
I never played that song, it is way to technical.
I love prog rock, and I'll listen to it all my life.
thx again guys!
