The Musical Box. Let me tell you a tale....

I was going for an interview for University at Durham in 1972. My mates were already there (I took a year off) and we met up in someones room. They had a reel-reel tape recorder with the first two tracks off Nursery Crymes. We listened to it many times that evening and somehow (I have no idea how we did that) I got a copy for my reel-reel tape recorder at home.

I was up there on my motorbike (Triumph Daytona if you are interested) and the reel was on the back. Half way down the A1 it came off and went through the back wheel. I stopped, retrieved all the tape, wound it back on and carried on.

I listened to those two tracks many times before I found out who it was. Then I bought the album and the rest is history !

Hey Alan. I've seen the BACAMARTE -- DEPOIS album go up on eBay for a minimum bid of $9.99, more than once. I *think* one of those times it went for something like as low as $26. So it's worth keeping an eye on eBay for it. I really want a copy too but didn't win a bid on it yet!
