These are tracks from Damon Albarn's 'Journey To The West' album which re-tells the classic Chinese story (some of us may remember the cult '70s TV show of the same name).

Interesting and different (similar in part to his 'Gorillaz' project). Oh yes, the lyrics are in Mandarin.

Mahavishnu Orchestra are very much in the 'Fusion' area of Prog, Alan. Not to everybody's taste, although I'm a big fan. Cool

Glad you enjoyed the Tangent though. A new-ish addition to the programming here at S.A. Cool

The Nice - Bonnie 'K'

I remember discovering The Nice through ELP, and asking my father to take me to various record stores in the Village in New York City in search of them, and store after store did not carry them. This was a big deal given that he worked nights on the weekends, and had to get up early on likely a Sunday morning to take me into the city by car.

Finally at the last store, the treasure chest was found. Must have been 4 or 5 albums by The Nice there. But I did not have enough money to buy them all.

I went out and asked my father for some money so I could buy them all and he gave it to me, no questions asked.

I loved music, but then again, clearly so did my father, or more so, he loved me.

Dad, rest in peace.
