I bought this album way back in the late seventies (must be worth a few pounds now). If I'm right this was the first album to have a drum machine on it.

Well, for sure they where in the first band to use Drum machines but not the first one. I've taken a look at
wikipedia and it seams that Can used a drum machine in the 1971 album Tago Mago....

But, I've just noticed that they say that : "The first album in which a drum machine produced all the percussion was Arthur Brown/Kingdom Come's Journey, recorded in November 1972 using a Bentley Rhythm Ace." So I believe you where right in a sense.
