No, they are the scaled-down version of the selected volume level between 0 and 100. 0 is mute, 100 is full-open (and a guarantee to get in conflict with the other persons in the same room).
When I start the script, I select the maximum volume, which is used for the scaling

Is your script good enough to add the new artist/song automaticaly assigning at the same time a "default" volume level?

Here's the list scale 0..10. It is far from incomplete, as SA does not have a rating system, and above list was more or less generated by my 1800+ ratings on Radio Paradise.

All that is not on the list gets the default volume. For most things played on SA, that is most likely too low, as the general quality is very high

As 680 lines is a bit too long to post here, I'll give you a link to the list

Cool, I think this could be executed on my Ubuntutified notepad, good to see a perl programmer on SA

But it would be great to add a routine for bands whtih differents periods :

For example Marllion with or without Fish, Floyd With ro whithout waters , Genesis whith Peter Gabriel etc ...

Not simple to detect this automatically I'm afraid ... Wink
