Sorry, it is not about how much is on the playlist, but how often it is played. If you have one song of "XYZZY" on the list and you play it daily, and 50 songs from "The Blught Frimth" being played once a year, I bet the the lovers of the last will not be pleased.

Gah!!! no time to get on the forum, but I'm still listening. Alison Waits - Advent.......blissful.

Having a 'new prog' period on the car CD at the moment. Advent (of course), Knight Area, IQ, Pendragon, Circulus, Mostly Autumn, Comus, Lemon Jelly, Ozriks and Porcupine Tree, interspersed with re-discovering the back catalogue of the wonderfully eccentric and quintessentially English, Stackridge. Best starting points for newcomers to the Stackridge canon would be 'The Man In The Bowler Hat' (produced by George Martin, no less) or Extravaganza.

Indeed, it would, but I cannot *poll* the site continuously, as that would cause network-overhead and - eventually - a blockade for my IP, something I don't want (yet).

Does the database also have the length of the record?
Or, better, if I were to fetch the data from this form, would it be feasible to see the delay to the next record?
If so, I would only have to poll once every record, and maybe a retry if the form is not in sync with reality. I've done something similar when Radio Paradise started to complain about the number of times I connected, and they then added that info, and everybody was happy.

The script for Stellar would however be extremely more simple. No need to turn up and down the volume all the time, as 95% of what gets airplay here is of very good quality.

Hi Tux,

The 'currently playing' information refreshes itself automatically once the track title changes. It also periodically refreshes itself if kept open by the user.

I know, I can see that, but if I would indeed write a script, I would need a sleep time to re-probe (I think I hear Radioshit about *every* day), so I can mut the speakers until the noise is over. If I prove the playlist every 5 seconds to see if "what is currently playing" you will complain.
