Oh well, it looks like you're never going to be converted to Radiohead, tux ... Wink

No, indeed. Very unlikely. But we live in a free world, and we still have the choice to switch station when the need arises.  Cool

BTW If you think my SAGA review is in the wrong location, feel free to move it

Hi Tux - no problem, better to post any such write-ups within the Gig and Album Reviews section, otherwise they may be lost in this thread ...

Thanks for the write-up !! Cool

I will also skip the Beatles special if you don't mind. IMHO the most overplayed band of the last 20 years.

Here's a bit of a summary of what I rated low (bad) and high (good) on Radio Paradise. A summary of my ratings there will explain why I left for Stellar attaction:
Code:
Low ratings:
|  1   59 groups,  319 songs
|  2   87 groups,  242 songs
|  3   76 groups,   94 songs
|  4   55 groups,   62 songs
|     198 groups,  717 songs

High ratings:
|  5   42 groups,   42 songs
|  6   52 groups,   56 songs
|  7  153 groups,  195 songs
|  8  240 groups,  355 songs
|  9  136 groups,  307 songs
| 10   37 groups,  120 songs
|     483 groups, 1075 songs

Total:
|     681 groups, 1792 songs

Avarage rate: 5.6

Wonderful to hear Hatfield & The North on the radio. 'Fitter Stoke' and 'Let's Eat Real Soon' are just perfect songs IMO. What a loss Pip Pyle is to the world.  Sad

Prog Master D;

Love - Maybe The People Would Be The Times Or Between Clark and Hildale

So I get to tune back-in to my favorite radio station, earthly or not, and what do I hear, but my favorite 60s band, Love.

Then what happens

Robin Trower - Lady Love

Another fav, as D well knows.

Thanks for the excellent tunes and crank it up.

Stellar Band and Lineup.  Stellar Songs.  Hearing "Son of 'There's No Place Like Homerton'" may increase your goosebump rate by 1000/second.  Thanks SA for allowing us listeners enjoy what is, all too often, underplayed and exquisite music, so often and so easily.

Hatwise Choise and Hattitude are both wonderful additions to an all too small output. They played live with such fluidity and ease and yet the music can be so complex, beats me how they did it. I also enjoy National Health, but it's not quite the same without Richard Sinclair.

Enjoying the Mark 1 tracks, but I can't find anything at all on the net about them. Are you able to shed any light, oh ProgMaster?

No problem RR.

Mark-1 were an excellent, albeit short-lived group. They only recorded and released two albums ... Whether they will release anything else, remains to be seen.

Absolute Zero (First Album)

The Criminal Record (Second Album)

Official Mark-1 Website

Review of Mark-1 on GEPR

Enjoy.

I too Rolling Ronnie enjoyed the Mark1 songs when I heard them on SA.   I found this interesting interview:

Max

PS: I had more success finding info on the group by typing "Mark1" instead of "Mark 1"  Wink ...
