I've been to
Saga yesterday, in the
Weardse Tempel in Heerhugowaard, NL.
Very short report:
It was fantastic!
Short report:
It was my first time in this rather new music hall, I think there were only 250 people in the audience, tops. The technical data says that there is a capacity of 2500, but that must be for the complete building.
as supporting act there was the "Urge". I would rather Saga started an hour early and played more. The singer had a good voice, but he had absolutely no feeling with the audience and his comments were just plain annoying. Then the crew cleaned out their stuff and Saga came up 21:35. When I noticed the hall was just half-full when the Urge played, the room was full, but not crowded when Saga started. Some must have known that they'd better skip the supporting act

Even though the balance in the music wasn't perfect, voice, keyboards, drums and guitars were fine! With a mix of oldies like
Scratching the surface,
You're Not Alone,
Time's up,
On the Loose and
Don't be late (all gave me shivvers) and stuff from their latest album
10000 Days, they entertained us with devotion, dedication, and feeling. They singer had a good interaction with the public, and the public loved it!
Two encore's and the aidience went wild.
All-n-all an evening very well spent
