Bristol Bierkeller, Sunday April 3rd

After a 2hr drive to Bristol, then nearly another hour in Bristol itself trying to find the venue. Yes, I did ask for directions, on several occasions, but still manged to get lost. I finally arrived at the dive that is the Bierkeller.

Set list:

Deadwing
Sound Of Muzak
Lazarus
Halo
A Smart Kid
Hatesong
Arriving Somewhere, but not here
Fadeaway
Burning Sky
Glass Arm Shattering
Blackest Eyes
Start of Something Beautiful
Even Less
--------
Shesmovedon
Trains

To be honest I have had to look elsewhere on the net for last nights set list as I was uncertain of the titles of some of the new tracks, my copy of Deadwing only arrived this morning.

However the fact that the set was dominated (not unexpectedly) by newer unfamiliar material didn't in any way detract from a great gig.

Support band was Anathema who were also excellent and fortunately they played the only track of theirs that I know (Closer).
(Note to self: Buy some Anathema albums.)

…and then of course, after the show I struggled to find my way out of Bristol Grin
