Do we consider Dire Straits to be progressive? Just wondering

Hello and welcome!
I heard of this site through YESfans.
It is an excellent site!
I too like Genesis and Pink Floyd.
Roger Waters is also on the the top of my list.
YES will always be #1 to me.
BUT, everything else I hear here is very great!
Might have to stick around here!
ANYHOWS!--Good to talk at you!
I hope to figure the manuevours here yet soon.

Thanks for the post !! I'm glad that you stumbled across the site and have been tuning in. I have been thinking of holding another '24-hour-session' again very soon. Maybe a different band this time ? I thought that either a Pink Floyd or Genesis 'session' would be popular. Ideas anyone ??

Definitely some more 'Camel' will be played soon. I'm not sure whether you could classify 'Dire Straits' as 'prog' but I would certainly play some ! Any particular song in mind, Dave ?? Again, let me know !!

Either of those 2 for a 24hr deal is aces w/ me I was shocked to hear Blue Oyster Cult cuts.. some great stuff on their "Imaginos" incl. a great version of "Astronomy"..you people out there are restoring my faith in humanity!!

Been out of commission for a few weeks and still out on bum leg(long story), but, missed a bit here.
