The Summers End Festival to be held at Lydney Town Hall, Gloucestershire on October 8,9 and 10, 2010, have started announcing some bands for the fest ... and it's not a bad start. Phideaux, Unitopia and The Watch will all appear over the weekend as will Ark (John Jowitt). Obviously further announcements to come, I think they have 11 bands on over the Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Stephen Lambe who is also a director of the CRS runs the fest.

My wife says I can go (I'm under the thumb !!), it's looking like its worth the 170 mile drive so let hope to get down there.

Thanks for the post, Mick. I can't say that I've heard of the 'Summer's End' festival but it certainly sounds like a worthwhile event. 8-)

The name of the festival rings vague bells but no more than that. In all honesty, I haven't caught a 'proper' gig or a festival in a while now - one of the pitfalls of living in the Channel Islands. :-X

Bands announced recently to add to the above are:

* Multifuse

It looks as if it's going to be a pretty good weekend !!  ;)
