All,

Having successfully upgraded to version 2.4 of the wonderful, open-source YaBB forum software, I have now installed several 'mods' (modifications) for you all to enjoy.

The Stellar Attraction Discussion Forum now boasts it's own Chat Room, Event Calendar and a overview of users that have visited on any given day within the 'Forum Statistics'.

I have written a guide as to how to use the Chat Room which can be viewed here.

The Event Calendar should be self-explanatory in both it's display and use as should the 'Guests And Members Online Today' feature. However, if any of you have any questions regarding these new features, please feel free to start a new thread within the 'Ask The Admin' board.

As always, donations would be greatly appreciated ... ;)

All,

I have upgraded the Event Calendar to the very latest version, 1.5.

Fixed lost eventcalbday.db, if a user adds / deletes their birth date or deletes a user account with a birth date
Upload Admin/EventCalSet.pl and Sources/Profile.pl
Rebuild Birthday List if you had lost eventcalbday.db
Brought EventCal SSI Feature back
Fixed Icon Path, if here is no event scheduled.

I have tested this new version myself and cannot identify any bugs but as always, if any of you do, please let me know by starting a new thread within the 'Ask The Admin' board.

PS If anybody is interested (or was curious ...) the 'SSI Feature' will enable me to add the 'mini calendar' at the bottom of the forum to the front page of the website. As usual, it will involve a lot manual work to acheive but something that I feel will be a good addition to the S.A. website.

All,

The chat room has now been upgraded to the very latest version - 1.4.

The biggest enhancement in this new version is that you do not have to define a username within your User CP before entering the chat room - the chat room will now use your forum username by default.

I have updated the How To Use The Chat Room guide to accomodate this new version and have also attached some common error messages with an explanation as to what they mean.

As always, if anybody encounters any difficulty or has any questions, please feel free to let me know.
