Thanks for the welcome!
Hard at work writing a proposal, and the music has been a nice distraction.
Can you play some Steve Hackett--Astral Morning, perhaps?
Thanks!

Thanks! I didn't know the Channel Islands were independent. I'm a smarter man today!
--BTW, you might be interested to know I'm helping a US Coast Guard veteran write his memoires about his service as boatswain's mate on a Landing Craft-Infantry (Large) --aka LCI(L)--that took part in the invasion of Normandy in 1944. Quite a story.

How embarassing...
Spectral Mornings...
I've been hearing Imus talking about Van Morrison's Astral Weeks for several days now and have Astral on the brain.

I surely have heard of the Channel Islands--lots of Jersey and Guernsey cattle in this dairy region, and in the old Batman TV series, where Gotham stood in for New York City, "New Guernsey" stood in for the state of New Jersey.
Here's a photograph of Blackout, a dog that became the mascot of the crew of LCI(L)89 while they were training for the invasion in England. He actually rode out the invasion, but started developing mange because of the salty air and eventually was "reassigned" to an army unit in France.
My friend Bill made Blackout's lifejacket.
