Title: Muse - Black Holes & Revelations
Post by Lithium on 16th Sep, 2006 at 11:06pm
I have to admit not hearing much of this band previously, but having recently bought the latest Album, Black Holes & Revelations, I'm going to have to sit up and take notice of this band.

This band are kicking out some serious innovative progish rock, with a modern synth, heavy guitar flavour, along with some good old fashioned rhythms thrown in.

For a great review of the album, check out this link..

If you want something different and new to listen to, this album comes highly recommended.

Thanks for the heads up Lithium - sounds like interesting stuff. Heard of but not heard any Muse before - something I will have to look into ...

Not sure how I missed this thread…

MUSE are excellent and i have had the pleasure of seeing them live quite a few times. I included in my recent session 'Citizen Erased' from their 'Origin of Symmetry' album.

Their new album is quite simply stunning.  The last track 'Knights of Cydonia' manages to be Prog and ROCK all at the same time. Over the course of the album they mix so many different styles together and gel them together into a cohesive sound that is both commercial and adventurous.

Highly recommended indeed.

David

Muse is on my mute list, and actually one of the band played far to often on Paradise Radio.
It's OK as long as the singer is drinking beer (or, in other words doesn't open his mouth to `sing')
IMHO it's just another U2 wannabee, and U2 is the ultimate ether pollution
just my opinion

Each to their own and all that. Personally, I've really enjoyed what I've heard from Muse.
