'Rush'
'Bloodwyn Pig'
'Soft Machine'
'The Pretty Things'
'Gong'
'Steve Hillage'
'Caravan'
'Marillion'
'Spock's Beard'
'Porcupine Tree'
'Ozric Tentacles'
'The Flower Kings'
'Anathema'
'Arena'
'Neal Morse'

Also, I have managed to get hold of 'The Syn' (old and new !!) and the eponymous album by excellent Czech group 'QuarterStorm'.

Enjoy.

Very cool indeed :D! Blodwyn Pig - an early favourite of mine - sounding very nice  -  (making that odd Jethro Tull-Brand X connection with the amazing Jack Lancaster!) Love it!  Titus Groan was very interesting too *check out this interesting review -

and I'm really enjoying Pineapple Thief! !!

And - of course - a million thanks for Camel (the Snow Goose) - brilliant stuff ! ! !

You've given us some very tasty (old &) new music - Good Job Dee!  ;D ;D ;D

Thanks silver!  8) a cool website (with free mp3 downloads no less - some full tracks even!) One of the partial tracks from the new album sounds intriguing: 'Light Up Your Eyes" the equilization changes from dull to crystal to convey the idea of the lyric  (could've come off as a corny effect-but works well!)
I will explore more as time goes..

take care :)

The full version of that track is a wopping 15 minutes.

If you or anyone else here for that matter is at all interested in this band then I would strongly advise you to pre-order the new album asap as there will be a limited amount available as a double disc for only a few pounds more.

I have to say I am very intrigued by the band Cos. Up until now I had never heard of them before. I am a big fan of artists like Bjork and Sigur Ros and always felt that they were both very innovative, but it looks like Cos were doing similar things 30 years ago.

'Cos' are just fantastic. ;D As are their predecessor group 'Classroom'. Read more about them at ]www.gepr.net/co.html#COS

Listen out for 'Zao' - another fine group in the same genre.  8)

Darran, how many trax on the Focus3 CD? I make it 8, in which case there's 1 missing, 'House of the King' which is on the vinyl double LP after 'Elspeth of Nottingham' (ie last track - they're all in a different order on the CD anyway - 'Anonymus II' is track 1 side 3 and Track 1 side 4 rather than being last.. Not that it matters much, still one of the most talented bands of the 20th century... I think less pretentious than most, at least the first few albums were, altho they fell into the trap (sadly all too common in prog) of getting a bit too pompous for their own good...

8 is the number alright. ('scuse me for butting in)House of the King is the missing one. But Answers!Questions! is longer than on the LP.
I really enjoy this group..even their later stuff. (Esp. Hamburger Concerto)  Jan Ackermaan is a wonderful guitarist.
Have you heard of the group Flairk?  Also from the Netherlands - a little more folky with flutes & pan pipes, violin, sitar & all acoustic guitars (their bassist plays a Guild acoustic bass guitar - not a standup - an acoustic guitar body w/ bass strings)

Havent heard it yet - could you tell me where its going to be in the rotation? And btw - loving Shamal!  Has one of my ALL Time favourite tracks - Cat in Clarke's Shoe!!

Also the Camel track from Raindances - very good - really enjoed the addition of Mel Collins to the group at that time - also Brian Eno!   Speaking of. . . do you possibly have any of Eno's pre-Ambient solo stuff from the 70's (e.g. Before and After Science) King's Lead Hat (w/ Robert Fripp) is a great one from that disc!

Thanks again for all! Have a great weekend!  :D
