This Winter Machine - a Tower of Clocks

This is the second album by TWM. If you haven't heard the first one (The Man Who Never Was), you should pop round to your local store and get that too. However, Lets talk about ATOC. It's been in the making for nearly a year (I went to a concert last July where they had the first playing of some of the tracks) and all I can say is "Wow".

There are 10 tracks totalling just over an hour of neo/symphonic prog-rock. It is very very hard to choose the best track - I've only had the album 24 hours and only listened to it 4 times, but Delta stands out, along with Carnivale.

The production is super smooth and the playing very tight. Best of all, they haven't let the mix allow anyone to dominate - all the players get a look in.

The album will be out on general release in early June (I was one of the luck early adopters) so, start saving your pennies and order it when you can. Their web site is https://thiswintermachine.com/home

Enjoy.

Hi there Al - wonderful to see you online. Smiley

Many thanks for the review and the link - I shall check them out. Not a band that I can say I have heard of but they sound great.

Thanks, D - yes, I've been really busy recently. But I still pop over to SA for a listen every now and then.

I'll try and put some more tracks together in the next month or so - still buying albums  Smiley

Hi Alan
My copy of "A Tower Of Clocks" arrived today, sounds great although I'm not sure it's as good as the debut but that was exceptional. Saw your name in the booklet as a fan who'd pre ordered. I agree Delta is a great track as the band really rock out towards the end.

Cheers Mick
