Hey Darran, thanks for the shout-outs, and thanks for inserting
Bella Band - Faidadiesis
; it's a marvelous (if technical) song!

In fact, I've been getting a bit more into jazz lately because my (17-year-old) son plays in a jazz band, and it's fun to understand and appreciate what I'm listening to.

Loosely related, I had the privilege of hearing my son's orchestra play this piece originally written by Snarky Puppy, a jazz-ish band, in their winter concert a few weeks ago:

(That's not my son's orchestra, but it was very similar.)

Happy Monday from the Seattle area!   Cool Smiley

Hi David ! My pleasure, great to see you online. Indeed, Bella Bend are certainly in the Jazzier / Canterbury Scene zone of Prog. Thanks also for the YouTube link, checking it out now ...

Very moody stuff with some interesting playing by the band - especially the keyboards, a nice "squelchy" Moog sound at the beginning.

Thanks David. Smiley

I missed
Gustavo Montesano's Marginado En El Tiempo
but caught
Il Volo - Come Una Zanzara
and enjoyed it. I enjoyed
Terpandre's Musique pour clair obscur
, played earlier, so much that I bought it.

As I've mentioned before, I hear music here on SA that I don't hear anywhere else, but another fine aspect of SA that I haven't mentioned is the non-UK European (Italian, Spanish, French, and other) music. Good stuff!

Cool  Smiley

Couple of nice, um, ballads? just now, IMHO. Mostly instrumental.

Gracious - Super Nova
Absolute Elsewhere - Miracles Of The Gods

Can't say that I recall ever having heard a Tangerine Dream song with singing. Their
Bent Cold Sidewalk
(from the year 1978, I believe) is quite a treat!

Hi there David,

Delighted as always to know you're enjoying the music being played. Indeed, a broad variety of artists and countries are represented. Smiley

Yes, Darran, I am listening for a bit at the office on the Friday afternoon U.S. west coast time. Glad to hear the shout-out!

In
Genesis' The Return of the Giant Hogweed
, I heard the "Heracleum Mantegazziani" phrase, which reminded me that we haven't heard from him in a while. Hope all's well!

And did you know that this thread has been viewed more than 1.71 million times?!   Smiley

Great to see you online David ! I hope that your Friday afternoon is going well. That and glad that you caught the shout-out too.

Indeed, I haven't heard from HM for a while,  I will have to drop him an email.  Smiley

That's actually pretty impressive if I do say so myself ... Smiley
