Many thanks in advance for putting this session together, Mick.

If the first two are anything to go by, I'm sure that it'll be a runaway success. [smiley=DJ.gif]

Only an hour gone and this is some cool stuff, Mick! I'm working so I can't pay close attention to who these bands are, but Disperse - Balance of Creators is cool, for example. It's shaping up to be a good afternoon of music here on the U.S.A. west coast!

Good morning Mick, and what a coincidence... I just put my son to sleep about an hour ago!  :-)

This session was an enjoyable one, and I hope to catch it again to verify that I like at least a couple of the artists/bands to consider purchasing.

Thanks very much for putting these sessions together!

Thats good David, I don't know which artists you like but its neat that  you are considering purchasing to help the bands financially.

To my ears Disperse came across well, not quite metal (which is good) everytime the music gets heavy they throw in an acoustic guitar or piano to quieten it down a bit !

I'll be listening on Friday. Thanks for this.

I now have Mindgames on permanently. They are GREAT!!! Are any of the ones on this session similar?

Hmm... an hour ago I said to myself, "Hey, this music is good," and I noticed that it was the band Godsticks. And just now I thought the same thing, and again it's Godsticks (Timshel). Nice find, Mick!

Another edition of Fresh Prog is consigned to the chronicles of time as we say a fond farewell to edition #3 :'(

But don't cry, as we can look forward to edition #4  ;D which will enlighten the dank and dismal days of mid November and will have a distinct North American flavour. We will be featuring seven new release albums, five of which come from the "other side of the pond". These will be the recent CDs from K2, Persephone's Dream, District 97 and Glass Hammer not to mention our Canadian buddy Dean Watson who is a regular visitor to this forum. This leaves just two new albums from European bands, these will be the latest offerings from Tinyfish and Hasse Fröberg and the Musical Companion (yes yet another Flower Kings side project !!). So the album line up for November is:

* K2 - “Black Garden”
* District 97 - “Hybrid Child”
* Tinyfish - “Big Red Spark”
* Hasse Fröberg and the Musical Companion - “Future Past”
* Dean Watson - “Unsettled”
* Persephone’s Dream - “Pan: An Urban Pastoral”
* Glass Hammer - “If”

Will be back nearer the time with dates, times and a playlist and a bit more on the albums. See ya !
