OK . . . . details . . . as you well may discern from the title, each track in this session will feature the unmistakable, incredibly evocative sound of the mellotron!
all of the most popular 'tron artists will be represented, like Genesis, King Crimson, Moody Blues etc...   but I've also tried to throw in some unusual selections as well!
And... like all of my past sessions it will contain many tracks never before heard on S.A.
(some not even considered Prog!! ) 8-)

For info on the Mellotron, go to Andy Thompson's excellent website:

Perhaps you could squeeze some Barclay James Harvest and Gryphon into the next one?

:)

Thanks Rolling Ronnie!  8-)That could be easily arranged, though my next session will just be a general Prog affair (as opposed to the 'tron variety), I have featured Gryphon in the past & will keep them in mind.....as to the BJH, I must confess that is a group I never got a chance to get to know that well...I did run accross them quite a bit in my "tron research"   Perhaps you could suggest a starting point - I hear their live album is a good place to start.

'Live Tapes' is definately the place to start as is covers the best of several albums. Of the studio output, Time Honoured Ghosts, Everyone Is Everybody Else and Octoberon are my favorites.

Still awaiting further news of the possible Gryphon reunion and new album in 2008 :)

I'm sure that our resident 'Jazz Sage' (and 'Tron Sage for that matter ... ;) ) will be running another excellent session of this nature in the not too distant future.

Actually Pno, Ange and Harmonium were featured on the last 'tron session - perhaps there will be a rebroadcast sometime after my next session (which may be coming soon) ;)
